Blog Spotlight: Maj. General Marcus Ho

SL NAME: Marcus Ho (marcus.warbunsee)

MILITARY RANK: Major General (Republic Of China)

SQUADRON (S): Flying Tigers Command Staff
Republic Of China National Revolutionary Army 88th Division

YOUR POSITION (S) WITH THE TIGERS: Liaison Officer, Advisor

TELL US HOW YOU FIRST BECOME INVOLVED WITH THE TIGERS: About 3 years ago I started to play SL. When I first went to the WW2 RP Sims (Ravenloft) I noticed the FT Base (at that time FT Base was linked with the Ravenloft). I am Chinese in RL so that I joined FT. At that time all my knowledge about FT was come from the history lessons in RL Hong Kong School, a group of Americans came to China to help us fight against Japan. I knew G, the commander of FT then. We talked a lot about the history. After the lessons in Academy I became a 2nd Lt in 3rd Sq. I met a lot of new friends, we flew together, we chilled together, a lot of fun. And like that till now, I had spent my 3 years with all my lovely FT Mates.

YOUR FAVORITE PLANE TO FLY:
My favorite plane will be the I-16, Chinese version, made by the TIG. The only reason is simple, this is a ROCAF Plane, It is small but not weak, I had a lot memorials with it.

IF YOU COULD INVITE ANYONE FROM REAL LIFE AVIATION INTO SECOND LIFE, WHO WOULD IT BE?   WHY?
I did invited one of my RL Friends one year ago, he enjoyed it a lot but later due to his RL work, he had to give up on playing SL. What a pity.

BESIDES LOVING TO FLY, WHAT ELSE DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN SECOND LIFE?
I love WW2 RP Combat, which is the main thing I focus now on SL. Also, I tried my best to let more people know about the history of Chinese during WW2. China fought with Japan for 8 years, much early than other countries , many people spent their life to protect China including my grandpa. Most of the people thought China was Axis or Communist, but actually China was in Allied at that time, also ruled by Nationalist. Well, it is still a long road to go through, but I will try my best to let more people know our history.
